She was back. After one hell of a week (and a pretty screwed up couple of days before that, too), Wanda was back on the island that she seemed destined to always come back to. Stuck once more after a short time of hope that maybe, just maybe, she'd gotten out.
The worst part, though? She was actually relieved.
There was plenty to do. She knew that she should check in on the clinic and psych offices, and that all of her classes would suddenly be running a week behind. She needed a long, hot shower and a decent night's sleep. But more pressing than all of that, the only thing she truly felt the need to do immediately, was just to keep dragging her toes through the rapidly-cooling sand of the beach and walk for a while, just letting herself be glad to have come home.
Also, figuring out how she felt about being glad at such a thing at all.
